We are pleased to announce that the Vancouver Island University Faculty Association(VIUFA)and Vancouver Island University (VIU) have reached a tentative collective agreement for the period of April 1, 2022 - March 31, 2025. The tentative agreement covers approximately 688 VIUFA employees at VIU.
The leadership of both VIUFA and VIU would like to extend sincere thanks to both bargaining teams for their hard work and commitment to the process. This tentative agreement aligns with the provincial government’s 2022 Shared Recovery Mandate and VIU’s People Plan commitments to wellness and equity. VIUFA and VIU will now initiate their respective ratification processes and we will share more details about the agreement when ratification is complete.
