Working from Home Survey 2020

Survey Purpose

VIU embarked on the process of surveying employee's responses to working from home in an effort to gain a better understanding of employee needs while they working remotely. The data collected from this survey will be used to inform VIU on how the recent shift to working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic affected employees and how to best support employees during this time. The data collected will also inform the development of a remote work framework to be implemented post-pandemic.

Survey Synopsis

A total of 602 employees (approximately 43%) completed the Working from Home survey. These responses revealed key themes related to employees’ experiences of working from home and each theme had both benefits and adverse effects.
