Lots of activity is occurring to support easier FIS reporting! Updates continue on Financial Reports training.
1. Support staff (primarily Finance and Admin Assistants) have formed a Teams group to share FIS knowledge and to support each other.
2. An in-person training session was held in May for some of the above support group to help them learn how to best produce reports for their areas. Two more sessions are planned for the rest of the group in June and July. A session for Deans, Managers, Directors and other non-support staff will be held in August.
3. Now that we are in a new fiscal year, to narrow down GL reports dates to only this fiscal year in GL reports, use the operator "Contains" and "2023." Please pass this tip along! A short video showing how to do this is on Financial Reports training in a new section called FAQs - All External User Reports!
4. Cheat Sheets are now posted at the top of the page. There are some for brand new FIS Reports users and to support regular users. Most current version is always on the website.
5. New search criteria were added and sequence order is now consistent in all reports to support more efficient GL Account Enquiry reports;
Accgrp1 (T) Hit the space bar to see all options for searching now such as seeing all entries for "Salaries and benefits" or "Deferred revenue" or "Fees and purchased services."
Wo-course (T) You can search using the operator "Contains" and enter a researcher's name or some text you know is in a group of Work Orders! DO NOT also enter a value in "Wo-course" or you will not get results. You can only use one of the Wo-course fields at a time or you will confuse the system.

6. New columns were added to GL reports to include the following data and the columns are now sequenced consistently in all GL reports to align with Inc Stmt layout:

7. We added 18 new short videos from an online training session to the bottom of Aurora training to support your FIS learning. All videos include a topic description.
